Behold. A man contemplating the biggest purchase of his life. Watch as his willpower fizzes out behind his eyes

Dear Lloyd

First of all, good to hear from you, It's been a while.

Second of all, shame on you for neglecting this self inflicted aspect of your life. You think just because you are buying a house, writing a new book idea and pulling extra hour to pay moving costs that you can just stop writing a self indulgent, ego fest of a blog that a handful of people read repeatedly. (Welcome back, Mum)

Okay so I can make all the excuses in the world but in fairness I could have posted a update at anytime and I'll be the first one to admit this is for myself over anything else, but we will pretend for the last 2 months, it would have been a lot of screaming into the void.

To summarise, going through the process of moving house is officially the most stressful thing in the world. To clarify, I barely have done anything towards it other than wave my arms wildly as Rosie organises the whole thing. I have a very crucial role in the whole process. Truth be told I feel like my key duties will be dishing out tape and tea for the 2 weeks leading up to getting the keys and being primary ceiling painter. I be honest though, I am more than happy being the driving force behind the DIY section of the next few months that I would likely sign away my kidneys to get us through the door.

Starting a new creative project is not stressful at all, for someone like me its a perfect use of productive procrastination. Need to sort out life insurance?, write a page. Need to distract yourself from having no money?, play around with a chapter title. Crying in the dead of night?, crack on with a proof read.

That last one was a joke by the way...I never proof read.

Most importantly though the last few weeks have been a case of balancing self care with self motivation. I'm not in anyway close to having it down, but It's an attempt. The aim is to be investing the same amount of time into productive things as positively selfish things. That's the homework for this very short dip back into the water of this blog, invest some time in yourself. Pick up an old project. Start a new project. Or call it a day on something that's wasting your time and potential.

You do you i guess is what i could have said. Hindsight a bitch.

Maybe i should start proof reading?
